Johnny Blazes is known throughout Boston’s drag and burlesque scenes for hir genre-bending, gender-blending, tongue-in-cheek performances. After training in traditional performance arts, theater, opera and ballet, Johnny started to develop hir own style of performance and art. While attending Oberlin College in Ohio, Johnny founded OCircus! and directed the 95-student group for three years. Projects with OCircus! included a small ensemble circus that drew upon vaudevillian traditions to create a dark and sexy narrative with a cabaret feel. The show toured in the summer of 2007 and wowed audiences in Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, New York, DC, Richmond, and Boston. Come welcome Johnny back to Ohio.

(One of our biggest art monkey gatherings! Wow! Thank You.) Lucy was fantastic and beautiful. Thank you all who came out and thank you to lucy for coming all the way up from Columbus! We all had a great night drawing, and drinking! We had some good contests and some great prizes thanks to Carol and John's Comic shop, DAP TONE RECORDS, and Baby Tattoo books.

A BIG THANK YOU to BonBon Bake Shop. Great cupcakes for all!! If you are looking to attack your sweet tooth with something delicious give her a call or stop by one of the local shops that sell her goodies.

We had a great event last time A VERY SKETCHY CHRISTMAS. Dr. Aaron had a birthday so we tourtoured our art monkeys and Aaron By making him pose!... the payoff, free cake!!! 

Baby Tattoo Finally hooked us up with books, and They were a big hit! Stay tuned, we will have some at every event in 2010! 

Danielle Muad'Dib, posed for our fast round, and then steamed up the stage with Champagne Shock and Sapphire Surge, as they put on a 3 act show for a Christmas treat for our art monkeys! 

After that is was all fun and games!! Champagne and Sapphire melted pencils! We cannot wait to have them back as our guests!!

Champagne Shock and Sapphire Surge of "The Jiggle Watts Burlesque" are coming to Cleveland to tinsel up our Christmas. 

Join us on the 16th for some tasty drinks and some tasty dishes. We as always will have some great prizes from Carol and John's Comic shop, Shoparooni, Star Pop, Dap Tone Records. We here Know you have all been good boys and girls so we are giving you an early present. To kick off the night Champagne Shock, Sapphire Surge and our own Danielle Muad'Dib will put on a Holiday themed performance! Jessica made our night!!! Well in reality, she always does! Since we made the switch to the Beachland, she has been our VIXEN OF DRINKS, but last week she put down her crop and crown and graced the stage as our model!!! She was unbelievable!! 

Our event also featured a special Burlesque performance, a little song and dance if you will! ... and you will! The newly formed "Hot Dame Burlesque and Variety Hour" Rocked the stage. Headed up By Danielle Muad'Dib, the two girl show tonight really turned up the heat of our regular events! The siren Beth crooned 2 great old charts appropriately themed for Halloween; Old Black Magic, and All of Me. Danielle scorched the ballroom with a dynamite tease to the sounds of Frank Sinatra singing "Winchester Cathedral".

Just when you thought Dr. Sketchy Cleveland Could not get sweeter, we pull a fast one and get some new friends!! The Bon Bon Bake Shop Stopped by and brought our FREE cup cakes for everyone!!! They were so good!!! I am sure we will have more tasty treats form them in the future!!! Check it out The Bon Bon Bake Shop will soon be opening a store at W65th and Detroit!

Oh-boy Art Monkeys, we have something special at the Beachland Ballroom on October 29th (in the Ballroom). As many of you know drinking is a big part of the Dr. Sketchy fun. And a big part of drinking depends on a great bartender - And Dr. Sketchy has one! We've come to think of Jessica as our personal Sketchy bartender. But this month she is taking a break from mixing Washington Apple shots and becoming our model. So come and see and draw Jessica at our Drawn of the Dead Halloween Dr. Sketchy.

Art Monkeys!!!! We are back at the Beachland Ballroom September 29th. 

In the Ballroom again! We are bringing in a local Phenomena BETH, and she is going to rock some big feathers and some awesome flapper gear. Guaranteed awesome drawings, Your paper will thank you for coming out to this event.

Bring your pencil and sketch-pad out to drink and draw this beauty.

I will be there spinning suitable tunes to keep the mood going and Aaron will be there cursing his pencil for it's inability to draw correctly and getting back at it by drinking way too much. Don't forget we have prizes to pass out to winning artists of all skill levels. Come early for the best seats and bring a friend. Or two!
